It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Off to Japan again! Holiday + WCS

Just a quick entry typing from Sydney Int. Airport to say I'm escaping the freezing cold of Australia and heading to the Great and Glorious Nihon for a two week holiday with the oyaji

We're heading to Tokyo, Himeji and Kanazawa for delightful shopping, relaxing and staying with host families. We'll be in onsen country so I am looking forward to ALL HOT SPRINGS, ALL THE TIME!! (And delicious Onsen Tamago..) I will eat so much Tonkotsu Ramen till I explode <33 I have suffered without it!
I'll finally get a chance to check out Puroland too which is Hello Kitty land in Tokyo. I went to Harmonyland before in Beppu and missed out last time so I'm so excited!! Kitty-chan my mistress will take over the world with her army of Sanrio characters one day...

Then after that we'll be meeting up with our sexy buddies

, Brogan, Brodie and co. to support our delicious and gorgeous friends

who will be representing Australia for the World Cosplay Summit event!
I'll be there to help with the media crew whilst K will be helping with translating...go go Team Australia!! xD We bought Aussie flags so we're READY TO ROCK!

I really can't wait to catch up with some of my gorgeous friends who will be at the Summit in person! If you'll be attending please come and say hi!! K and I will be dressed as Kotetsu and Barnaby from Tiger & Bunny because they're light and easily transportable! <3

After Nagoya epic fun-times we'll be attending Comiket! YAYYYYY SO EXCITED!!! I've never been to one before so I'll finally get to check it out!
We'll be re-wearing Kotetsu and Barnaby for the Anime and Manga day~ Cannot wait to see everyone!!

When we're done at Comiket we'll be going to the concert of one of my favourite Japanese bands....VERSAILLES!!!!!!
AHHHHHHHHDKFNGKEJNG!! I'M SO INSANELY EXCITED FOR THIS...NO WORDS!! I've been wanting to see them live in concert for so many years! They're wonderfully talented and will literally dazzle the pants off me I can tell. KAMIJO~~ TERU~~ HIZAKI~~ HRNNNNN

Then we'll be attending the Evangelion cafe, FujiQ and generally doing more funtimes and shopping with our friends.
All in all it should be a marvellous time for all and I'm trying not to think about all the assignments I have due when I come back...><;;;

When I get some time soon I hope to do a gif filled cracktacular report on my favourite con ever SMASH that I was just at! Along with epic Harry Potter shenanigans..
